Product Highlights 2024: A look back at the year’s highlights
From major milestones to small but important improvements, here’s a look at some of Briox’s key updates and highlights amongst everything new from the past year.

Briox’s NEW app! - Built specifically for micro-businesses
In September, the new Briox app was launched – designed specifically based on the needs of micro-businesses. With sharp focus on user-friendliness and the latest technology, the new app opens up new possibilities for us to create solutions that make it easier for micro-entrepreneurs to run their business.
- Super-easy customer invoicing - Create and send invoices in seconds! Briox’s app is designed so that even the most inexperienced entrepreneur can start invoicing right away.
- Manage customers and items – All customer and product information is synced with the Briox platform from the start, making it easy to get started with invoicing.
- Upload and submit receipts – The new camera scanner, developed with the latest technology, makes it easy to submit high-quality images of receipts and expenses.
- Approve supplier invoices – Receive notifications, review, comment, and approve invoices – wherever you are.
With the new app, we also introduced new, simpler product packages that makes it possible to send customer invoices regardless of the company’s chosen package.
At the same time, the previous app was renamed “Briox Time”. Features such as approval and submit receipts, found in both apps, will be removed from Briox Time on 1.3.2025. This is done to enable full focus on the development and maintenance of these functionalities in the new app.
More AI. More Automation.
The strong focus on automation has continued this year in order to enable significantly easier and more efficient workflows.
- Improvements for automatic bank matching – More complete matches and improved automation by allowing Briox to automatically handle payment deviations and reminder fees.
- Copy trained ‘AI robots’ – As an accountant, you can now copy already trained robots from other accounts when setting up new clients. This saves you time and removes the need to start from scratch for clients with similar bookkeeping needs.
- Improved interpretation – Enhanced interpretation results through currency interpretation and more supplier data.
- Automatic certificate renewal for Vero – Submitting VAT reports online from Briox to Vero? Certificates are now renewed automatically, eliminating the risk of missed renewals and manual updates.
New: Briox Connect
In 2024, we introduced Briox Connect – Finland’s new marketplace where solo entrepreneurs and micro-businesses can easily find, compare, and contact individual accountants for free.
For business owners, the marketplace offers an easy way to connect with accountants that suit their needs.
For accountants, Briox Connect provides an easy way to market their services to potential clients. Creating a profile takes just a minute, and as a Briox Partner, you can verify your account to:
- Get a “verified” badge for increased trust and visibility in search results.
- Create and customize a company page for your accounting firm.
- Increase the visibility and traffic to your profile page.
Briox Ecosystem – Simpler and better.
To simplify and offer even more opportunities for customers and partners, Briox, through partnerships with leading providers, gives access to an ecosystem of services to meet the business' needs.
During the year, we have rolled out several improvements that's been requested amongst our users:
- Payroll management – Briox’s integrated payroll solution from Palkkaus.fi has been strengthened this year, allowing retroactive payroll, cancellation of salary payments, and the creation of specific payroll journal entries, with the accounting report automatically attached.
- E-invoicing – Offered through Apix, e-invoicing enables faster, easier, and more secure invoice management. This year, we have among other things added the ability to activate e-invoicing directly in the workflow when setting up a new client.
- Factoring – The integrated financing solution from KTI has been improved this year with predefined accounts. You can now choose the accounts that best suit your needs to automatically create journal entries.
New, easy management of subscriptions and invoices
To offer increased transparency and make it significantly easier for system administrators, we have taken major steps to simplify the management of Briox subscriptions and invoices.
The new subscription management section makes it easy to get control and manage everything related to Briox subscriptions and invoices. Quickly see which package is chosen, available licenses, and the next billing date, or dive deeper to view add-on services used by the account and set billing preferences.
